I recommend this hostel. The owners, Claudio and Vale are great hosts. They welcome us warmly. Made sure we were happy with their home, offered recommendations including a good veterinarian. They even offered for us to invite our family over so we could have a small birthday party for our granddaughter. Very sweet couple. Great location and a fair price. The room and bathroom was clean and warm. We were very happy we found this hostel. Good phone signal. They have WiFi. They have a locked space in the back to park cars/trucks. We have a 3/4 ton truck and were able to get in the gate.

Paid 19000 for a room - about $21USD at the time. Quick mention of the areas safety but also some good advice. Both husband and wife were incredibly nice and hospitable. After staying in a tent for a few days, this place was a lovely place to rest for a night or two.

Good and bad. It's cheap, but I don't recommend the dorms (600pp) as the beds are rubbish and I'm fairly sure I've been bitten by bed bugs there. Private rooms are now 1200pp. Whilst Valeria is really nice, her husband is annoying. I was trying to get my bike ready to go up to hike piltriquitrón, but he insisted at me for an hour that the bike would get stolen "because it's such a crime Capital in El bolsón, it's like Italy with the gangs". Anyway, I walked there, there were fully loaded bikes left at the parking, and around 20 cars. The walk back nearly killed me. When I got back he still bothered me for another hour showing me news reports of all the crimes in the area over the past ten years....

Nice Hostel, few blocks from the city center. Private rooms for 900 ars with breakfast. Very clean. Shared kitchen, patio with bbq, private parking. The owner, Valeria, is really nice and can help you with anything you need.
